My Nutritional Qualities

Brimming over with health benefits, NERGI® is full of vitamins, minerals and fibres, vital for our body to function properly and for our well-being.

NERGI®, a “superfruit” full of vitamins C and E

Like vitamin E, vitamin C is an anti-oxidant that helps fight against free radicals, which are responsible for skin ageing. Thanks to its high vitamin C content, NERGI® comes under the “superfruit” category.

NERGI® is a concentrated source of vitamin C: 100g of this small green berry (around 10 berries) supplies 52.5mg, much more than oranges (39.7mg per 100g), lychees (42mg per 100g) or even redcurrants (40mg per 100g). It covers more than 65% of our reference daily intake. Vitamin C stimulates the immune system and naturally combats tiredness.

NERGI® also contains a high proportion of vitamin E (5.28mg per 100g, or 44% of the reference daily intake). This vitamin is often found in vegetable oils and is a well-known antioxidant. It fights free radicals, which contribute to cellular ageing.

NERGI®, a kiwi berry rich in minerals and fibre

With a rich potassium content, it beats other fruit in the same category (strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries). It is also full of calcium, magnesium, phosphorus and fibre. Thanks to its high fibre content (3.6mg per 100g), NERGI® effectively reactivates even the most sluggish intestines. This fibre also helps prevent cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, digestive cancers and obesity.

100g of this small kiwi berry supplies 19.4mg of magnesium. This mineral prevents cramps and also offers the benefit of fighting stress.

To help our children to grow strong and the elderly to avoid osteoporosis, NERGI® is regularly included on menus as this berry contains calcium (45.9mg per 100g), which is essential for a strong skeleton, as well as phosphorus (29.4mg per 100g), a trace element that helps bones assimilate calcium. Because it totals just 52 kcal per 100g, NERGI® can be enjoyed guilt-free by people trying to keep their weight down. In fact it makes an ideal snack if you’re feeling peckish, because its satiating fibres help you feel full and avoid cravings.
